San Francisco District (SPN) Flood Control Projects
There are three dams with flood control space located within San Francisco District. Two are Corps reservoirs located within the Russian River Basin, the third is a Section 7 Reservoir located within the Alameda Creek Basin. Real-time data for these reservoirs (e.g., current pool elevations, inflow, and outflow) are collected by the Sacramento District's Water Control Data System (WCDS).
Russian River Flood Control Dams: Lake Mendocino, Coyote Valley Dam is located north east of the City of Ukiah on the East Fork of the Russian River. Lake Sonoma, Warm Springs Dam is located west of the City of Healdsburg on Dry Creek.
Alameda Creek Flood Control Dam: Del Valle Dam and Reservoir is a Section 7 Project located on Arroyo Valle, a tributary to Alameda Creek. This dam is operated by the California Department of Water Resources.
