Day use recreation areas at Cochiti Lake closed due to high water levels
Due to high water levels inundating all of the day use areas on the Cochiti side of the lake, these areas have been closed until further notice. This includes the Swim Beach and the boat ramp day use area.

COCHITI LAKE CLOSED TO ALL RECREATION UNTIL FUTHER NOTICE DUE TO CERRO PELADO FIREFIGHTING SUPPORT
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Albuquerque District announced today that effective immediately Cochiti Lake is closed to ALL recreation until further notice. Cochiti Reservoir will be used as a water supply for aerial firefighting support to combat the spread of the Cerro Pelado Fire currently burning approximately 5 miles west of the USACE Cochiti Lake Project, N.M.

Visitors to Cochiti Lake must have reservations this Memorial Day weekend
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Albuquerque District has announced that all visitors to Cochiti Lake this Memorial Day weekend must have reservations made at least 24 hours in advance of their visit to the lake. Visitors without reservations will be turned away at the gate. Visitors can make reservations at www.recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777.
