Library Overview

The US Army Corps of Engineers offers many different resources to its customers, including reference, interlibrary borrowing, Internet and database searching, regulations and policy, and maps for review and downloading.

Some of the USACE libraries are open to the public, although hours and services provided vary from library to library. In some cases, making an appointment may be required. Please contact the library in your area to find out what access you might have to the collection.

Library Services

Reference
USACE libraries answer reference questions via e-mail and telephone. Please contact us by e-mail at library@usace.army.mil or by phone at 978.318.8349. You may also check the Directory of Libraries to find information for a specific USACE library.

Interlibrary Loan
Most USACE libraries lend their books and reports to other libraries through regional networks as well as through OCLC Resource Sharing. We are unable to lend materials directly to individuals outside of the Corps of Engineers, so requests to borrow must come from another library.

We are now in the early phase of development for a future online service that will give our customers a new catalog interface that simplifies library and end-user requesting workflows through timesaving resource sharing tools. In the mean time, please call or email if you have questions or concerns: 978.318.8349 or library@usace.army.mil.

Access
Most USACE libraries are open to the public. Hours of operation vary from one library to another. If you are interested in visiting a USACE library, please call ahead to make an appointment so a library staff member will be there to speak with you.
