The Sacramento District’s Blueprint to Better competition encouraged team members to identify workplace challenges and propose practical solutions to improve efficiency and innovation. From streamlining financial processes and project milestones to exploring responsible uses of artificial intelligence, team members shared ideas directly with District leadership, demonstrating how individual ideas can build momentum and drive meaningful organizational change.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, in collaboration with the City of Pico Rivera, will host a community “Walk the Dam” event Aug. 29 at the Whittier Narrows Dam in Pico Rivera. The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon at the Pico Rivera Golf Club, 3260 Fairway Dr., Pico Rivera. Participants may arrive anytime and complete an approximately one-mile, self-guided walking route at their own pace.
