LONG BEACH, California -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District is preparing to release a draft report recommending restoration of aquatic habitat within East San Pedro Bay. The City of Long Beach is the local sponsor.
The Draft Environmental Impact Statement and Environmental Impact Report — which documents the analysis of alternatives and the proposed Tentatively Selected Plan — will be released Nov. 29 for public comment before a final decision is made.
The public comment period is open from Nov. 29, 2019, to Jan. 27, 2020. The report will be published at: https://www.spl.usace.army.mil/Missions/Civil-Works/Projects-Studies/East-San-Pedro-Bay-Ecosystem-Restoration-Study/.
The public is invited to attend two public meetings to learn more about the plan and provide comments from 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 9 at the Aquarium of the Pacific, 100 Aquarium Way, Long Beach.
