  • USACE Deputy Commanding General for Civil and Emergency Operations Maj. Gen. Scott Spellmon inducted South Pacific Division Regional Business Director John Moreno into the Senior Executive Service at a ceremony in the Los Angeles District Jan. 10. Moreno’s wife Joann, grandson Edward Lopez, and nephew Jonathan Ochoa participated in the presentation of the induction pin, reciting of the oath of office, and uncasing and unfurling of the flag of the Senior Executive Service. Moreno has more than 26 years of experience with the Corps and now provides executive leadership and direction for the South Pacific Division and its four subordinate Districts in operating as a Regional Business Center.
